Edgars is a practice journal that gets you ready to play live.
It picks what you play next and keeps an honest record of every take.
The loop
Your ears lie while you play. The recording doesn't.
Every session is one tight loop. Recording is on by default, because the honest mirror is the point — not another log you write about yourself.

The take stays on your phone. Mic denied or storage full? The loop degrades to felt-only and keeps going.

No ranked list, no agenda. Tap the dice and Edgars opens one Song at random — straight into the loop, one tap from recording. After that first tap the session keeps moving through the rest of your repertoire by the published rule.

Practice has a deadline
Book the gig, build the setlist, and the machine knows what matters this week. The three new songs for the wedding set already sit at the top of tomorrow's list — while the rest of your repertoire keeps its honest rotation. Cancel the gig and everything settles back, history intact.
A song can serve several gigs at once — urgency comes from the nearest date.
The gig card reads at a glance: countdown, readiness strip, and the exact weak spots to raise at rehearsal.
Quiet sessions
Practice continues when playing can't.
Kids asleep, guitar out of reach, an hour before band practice. The Queue collects the takes you didn't verify yet — calmly, optionally. Put in earbuds, listen back, and tomorrow's order reshuffles on what you actually heard.
No streaks, no badges, no red counts. The queue is a plain list; nothing nags.
Recordings expire quietly after the retention you choose in Settings — one week by default. Their ratings stay — the journal keeps the lesson, not the clutter.
The weekly review shows the trend before rehearsal: which song is stuck, what’s improving, what stayed unplayed.
