Edgars v0.4 — release notes

By Webeleon · 2 min read · Oct 15 2026

Edgars 0.4.0 is out on Google Play. This release is small on purpose: it fixes the things you touch every session — the files you keep, the Setlist you reorder, and the headers you read. Here is what shipped.

What's new

  • Recordings that remember when you played them. An exported take used to be dated the day you exported it. Now it carries the take's own practice date, in the file name and in the title written into the file — {Song name} {YYYYMMDD}. Find the right take by the day you played it, not the day you got around to copying it out.
  • A save-a-copy line in the Quiet Session. The review step — where you listen back and give a take its Verified Rating — now ends with a per-take "save a copy" foot line. The moment you decide a take is worth keeping, you can keep it, without leaving the review.
  • A Setlist you can reorder. Long-press a Song row to pick it up and drag it to its new place, or tap the position number to move the Song up or down one step. Gig order is now something you set rather than work around.
  • A clearer Gigs header. The Gigs tab header now says what a Gig is for, on a single line.
  • Single-title headers. Library, Journal and Queue each render one title, instead of showing it twice.

Everything else is unchanged. Ratings, the Weighted Score, the daily picks, the Journal and the retention rules all work exactly as they did in 0.1.0 — and nothing leaves the phone.
